Progress can be frustrating sometimes, but I’ve found you really have to take a hard look at *what* you’re practicing and what’s next - sobering process. Thanks for sharing, it’s a great motivator for me.

God bless my older brother, who just happens to be a music producer, that sneakily convinced my father to buy all this stuff throughout the years! Just need to download the programs! And use his stuff when he isn't around.

Discipline builds virtuosity, but trial & error builds innovation. I don't fret over perfection because it doesn't concede to inspiration. Art is not a right/wrong, either/or proposition. As good as you are, the logical conclusion of talking to a student about how to play like you is to direct the student to play less like themselves. You're young & still have your best work in front of you. Your legacy will be more comprehensive if you guide young players to find & harness their own muse in addition to providing some tech secrets along the way. Most watching won't reach the instructor's dexterity level, so reaching fulfillment on a level of inspiration is what may help the student match the teacher's enthusiasm. Tap on.

While there are people that inspired him (Vic, Jacko, etc) he has taken the best from all of them and refined it to a level that has never been seen before. Easily the best bass player in the world, maybe ever.

He used to make entertaining videos and nice tutorials. Now it's all about selling his bass lessons. Strange, other bass channels like TalkingBass can promote their lessons and still make useful youtube videos.

So you are moving your hands fast to make it sound fast and also you’re probably playing on lighter strings compared to regular bass guitar strings because Victor Wooten plays on lighter strings so he can move faster and pick and slap not to dog you but as a bass/guitar player myself when it’s moving fast, it sounds fast
